Bolle Frame Features

Dual Composition Frame:
Nylon elements are fused to a metal frame, increasing impact absorption and giving the new metals collection a distinctly Bolle look. Resulting in increased comfort, durability and fit over traditional metals.

Hydralon™ Frames:
Bolle's proprietary hydrated memory nylon is the industry's most durable material, virtually unbreakable with memory that returns to its original shape. Providing a lightweight fit for unmatched comfort during any activity.

Thermo-Grip™ Temples and Nose Pads:
You get active, but Bolle's Thermo-Grip is hydrophilic, which means the more you sweat, the more adhesion it delivers.

Absorber Hinges:
The more active you are, the more your eyewear gets jostled. Bolle's rubber flex hinge reacts to absorb the shock and provides a more comfortable fit. Plus it gives you a coolness factor of bumpers for your shades.

Spring Hinges:
Bolle's spring hinges make their glasses easier for you to put on and take off, and allow for an extra margin of durability, while providing increased comfort and a customized fit.

Air Flow Temples:
For any activity where you really heat it up, this unique venting system incorporated into the temple design provides additional anti-fog capability. The specially designed temple opens to create a side vent that pulls air from behind the lens to reduce fogging.

Wire Core Temples:
Everyone's face is different, so your fit needs to be as individual as you are. Bolle's wire core temples can be adjusted to find the perfect custom form fit every time.

Bolle Lens Features

100% UVA/UVB Protection:
The same rays that burn the skin also cause long-term degenerative damage to the eyes such as macular degeneration, cataracts and ptergium. Bolle not only protects against UVA and UVB, but also UVC, a harmful ray that doesn't even reach earth. That's why NASA has made Bolle the eyewear of choice for NASA shuttle missions.

Polycarbonate (PC) Lenses:
This durable, virtually unbreakable material is safe to wear in active pursuits. It is 20 times more impact resistant than glass and 3 times lighter. Optically correct, PC lenses offer clear, distortion free vision, extends wearing time and reduces eye strain and headaches. All PC lenses come with an anti-scratch coating and 100% UV protection manufactured into the lenses.

Polarization:
Glare is an ugly word. Almost as ugly as what it does to your vision by reducing contrast and visual acuity. But Bollé's polarized Sandstone, Cactus and TNS Gray lenses selectively absorb the light traveling in every direction except the vertical plane to eliminate glare without the reduction in vision caused by a too-dark lens. As a plus, Bolle's unique tints actually increase contrast for better perception.

PC Polarized Cactus™ Lens:
The perfect polarized driving lens in molded 6 and 8 base polycarbonate with 99% polarization. Gray/Green, high-contrast lens that yields true color. Gold Flash gradient coating reflects more light at the top of lens where the sun's intensity is greatest.

PC Polarized Sandstone™ Lens:
Sandstone, from the mountains of Colorado, is a very high contrast lens that yields reasonably true color. AR coating removes backside glare and the molded 6 and 8 base polarization removes the reflected glare from water, sand, snow and roads without compromising the transmission of light.

Polarized Sandstone™ Gold Lens with AR:
For extreme light management this optical-quality PC Polarized Sandstone Gold lens cuts glare from all angles. Anti-reflective (AR) coating removes bounce-back images. Gold Flash coating further reduces reflective glare from water, ice, snow and sand.

Gold Top Gradient Coating:
Bolle's new Top Gradient, Gold coating is denser at the top where the sun's rays are most intense, and gradually lightens toward the bottom of the lens where less sun enters.

Lens Interchangeability:
Pack your Bolle action sport pouch with a variety of lenses for whatever activity and light the day might bring. Lenses interchange in seconds. Bolle's Sport Eyewear System (SES) for action sports, golf and tennis includes four lenses best suited for your sport.

Light Management:
Bolle makes 10 different lenses to help you proactively manage the available light conditions and perform you best. Including high contrast lenses for better depth perception and lenses that enhance vision of a specific color.

Anti-Reflective (AR) Coating:
Bolle coats the backside of its PC Polarized Cactus and Sandstone lenses to absorb distracting bounce-back images, either from the eye itself, or entering from the side, that normally reflect on the mirror-smooth surface.

Tennis Competivision™

Bolle has developed the first ever lens specifically for tennis. Competivision^™ is Bolle's patented, award-winning, teal colored lens designed to mute all colors except for optic yellow. The lens has a filter that separates the court background from the ball, which allows the tennis player to more readily see the tennis ball against the muted background colors. According to Tennis Magazine, "The yellow tennis ball comes at you like Godzilla in a 3-D movie." In fact, over 40% of USPTA pros have purchased Competivision frames.
