Why Polarized?

Although ordinary sunglasses may reduce brightness they do not reduce glare. Glare is concentrated reflected light, off windshields, water, snow, sand roads or any flat surface. lare is blinding and often painful.
Polarized Lenses act like a horizontal blind to block reflected glare under any and all conditions, resulting in extraordinary visual clarity, enhanced depth perception, natural color definition and reduced eyestrain. Polarized lenses eliminate blinding glare, allowing eyes to remain relaxed and focused on the task at hand.
UV Protection
Increasing scientific evidence shows that long term exposure to UV light can cause a variety of eye problems. For the outdoor enthusiast harsh UV rays pose a serious threat to the health of their valuable eyes. UV radiation is divided into three wavelength bands:
- UVA (wavelength 320-400nm)
- UVB (wavelength 290-320nm)
- UVC (wavelength 200-290nm)
UVA radiation and the near UVB are considered harmful to the human eye.
All Fitovers Eyewear lenses filter out 100% of dangerous ultraviolet rays through at least 400nm. By blocking 100% UVA and 100% UVB Fitovers Eyewear lenses meet the American ANSI Z80.3 standards and FDA standards for special purpose sun protective eyewear as well as the exacting Australian standard AS 1067.1-1990.
Which Lens?
Amber lenses provide excellent contrast and improve visual acuity and depth perception. An ideal tint for medium to low light conditions.
Gray lenses provide natural color definition while reducing the maximum amount of visible light & are the best choice for sensitive eyes & extremely bright settings. Recommended for general use.
